STEM For All Academy Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 27, 2024
1. Introduction
Welcome to STEM For All Academy ("SFAA", "we", "our", or "us"). By enrolling in our programs, you ("parent", "guardian", or "you") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") on behalf of yourself and your enrolled student(s).
2. Program Commitment
2.1 Duration
Minimum commitment of 4 months required for all programs
Programs operate on a session-by-session basis (weekly)
Holiday schedules will be communicated in advance
2.2 Payment Terms
Monthly fee of $124.99 due at the beginning of each month
Payment required prior to session commencement
Accepted payment methods: [Insert payment methods]
Late payments subject to $15 fee after 5-day grace period
3. Program Delivery
3.1 Virtual Sessions
Stable internet connection required
Appropriate device with camera and microphone needed
Quiet, suitable environment for learning
Student must be supervised by an adult during sessions
3.2 In-Person Sessions
Punctual drop-off and pick-up required
Only authorized adults may pick up students
SFAA must be notified of any pick-up changes in advance
Students must follow safety protocols and behavior guidelines
3.3 In-Home Sessions
Clean, appropriate workspace required
Adult must be present in home during sessions
Pets secured as needed
Adequate lighting and ventilation required
4. Attendance and Cancellation
4.1 Attendance Policy
24-hour notice required for session cancellation
Maximum of 2 reschedules permitted per month
Missed sessions without notice are forfeited
Make-up sessions subject to mentor availability
4.2 Mentor Changes
SFAA reserves the right to assign/change mentors
Reasonable effort made to maintain consistency
Advance notice provided when possible
5. Student Conduct
5.1 Expectations
Respectful behavior toward mentors and materials
Active participation in sessions
Completion of any assigned activities
Adherence to safety guidelines
5.2 Disciplinary Action
Written warning for minor infractions
Parent conference for repeated issues
Program termination for serious misconduct
No refund issued for behavioral dismissal
6. Safety and Security
6.1 Background Checks
All mentors undergo thorough background checks
Regular safety training required for all staff
Strict protocols for in-person and in-home sessions
6.2 Emergency Procedures
Emergency contact information must be current
Medical conditions must be disclosed
Immediate notification of any safety concerns
Right to suspend sessions for safety reasons
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Information Collection
Collection of necessary student/family information
Secure storage of all personal data
Compliance with privacy laws and regulations
No sharing of information with third parties
7.2 Media Release
Optional photo/video release for promotional purposes
Right to opt out of media sharing
Student privacy protected in all materials
8. Materials and Intellectual Property
8.1 Program Materials
All materials provided remain SFAA property
No reproduction without written permission
Materials for enrolled student use only
Return of materials may be required
8.2 Student Work
Students retain rights to their created work
SFAA may request to showcase student projects
Parent permission required for public display
9. Program Modifications
9.1 Schedule Changes
Right to modify session schedules with notice
Weather-related cancellations may occur
Virtual alternatives offered when possible
9.2 Program Updates
Curriculum may be updated periodically
Program improvements implemented as needed
Notice provided for substantial changes
10. Liability and Indemnification
10.1 Limitation of Liability
SFAA not liable for personal property damage
Participation at own risk
Force majeure events covered
Maximum liability limited to program fees paid
10.2 Insurance
SFAA maintains appropriate insurance coverage
Details available upon request
Parents encouraged to maintain own coverage
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Communication
Direct communication encouraged for issues
Written documentation of concerns required
Prompt response to all complaints
Escalation process available
11.2 Resolution Process
Good faith effort to resolve disputes
Mediation before legal action
Massachusetts law governs agreements
Venue in Boston for any legal proceedings
12. Program Termination
12.1 By SFAA
Right to terminate for policy violations
Notice provided when possible
Prorated refund at our discretion
Immediate termination for safety concerns
12.2 By Parent/Guardian
Written notice required
Subject to minimum commitment period
Refund policy applies
Exit interview requested
13. Amendments
Terms may be updated periodically
Notice provided of significant changes
Continued participation implies acceptance
